The other day, i got back home really late from work. And there was no dinner. Had to prepare some thing really quick since we were super hungry. There was nothing at home. Just leftovers. Saw some frozen sweet corn , tomatoes , cheese and a pack of bread.That's all i had!
It was a master chef scenario!
And yes! i made some sweet corn soup and cheese+tomatoes open sandwiches. It took hardly 15mins. I'll ell you how!
Ingredients
1 cup american sweet corn
3tbspn cornflour
2tbspn boiled carrots
1 tbspn boiled french beans
Salt
Pepper
sugar
since i had no time at all i took a "pateela" boiled water added sweet corn + carrot+ frnch beans to the boiling water and let it cook. In 10mins the vegs were cooked. Added cornflour slurry to the same water. ( make a thick paste of cornflour+ water) Add it slowly and keep stirring. I let me boil fof 8-9 mins. Add some salt , sugar, pepper and VOILA!
Yummy shummy soup.
To make it taste yummier ..add some cheese and stir..uffff i cant describe the feeling!
And now the open sandwich!
3 sliced tomatoes
Bread slices
Cheese
Oregano
Chilly flakes
Salsa Sauce
Shezwan Sauce
Toast the bread both sides. Arrange tomatoes. Cheese. Sprinkle oregano + chilly flakes and cover with lid. Let the cheese melt.
Also you you have a salsa base, or shezwan base and then add tomatoes etc.
And Ready with some pizza-like sandwiches!
